Follow Up Lithuania
Following the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange "Can't You SEA?", which took place in Cyprus between 12 and 21 November 2025, Meraki LT in Lithuania implemented follow-up actions aimed at spreading the project's impact within the local community and beyond.

On 18 December 2025, participants of the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange "Can't You SEA?" implemented a follow-up activity at the Kelmė Open Youth Centre. During the event, participants met with young people attending the youth day centre, including students from Kelmė "Aukuras" Primary School and "Kražantė" Progymnasium who are members of the "Drive Safely" club. The participants shared their personal experiences from the youth exchange, presented the main activities of the project, and talked about intercultural learning and the project's main topic – environmental protection and sea pollution.
In addition, the participants introduced the Erasmus+ programme and explained the opportunities it offers to young people. As the Kelmė Youth Centre is located in a provincial area, many of the youth had limited prior knowledge about Erasmus+ projects. Therefore, the presentation raised great interest and curiosity. The young participants actively asked questions about participation, international travel, and youth exchanges, and expressed motivation to take part in similar projects in the future. This follow-up activity contributed to raising awareness about Erasmus+ opportunities, inspired young people to think beyond their local environment, and encouraged them to become more open to international experiences and learning opportunities.
This follow-up activity aimed to:
-
🌍 raise awareness about environmental issues
-
🇪🇺 inform young people about Erasmus+ opportunities
-
🤝 encourage openness, curiosity, and international learning
-
🌱 inspire youth to believe that global experiences are possible for everyone

They talked about:
-
🌊 environmental protection & sea pollution
-
🇪🇺 Erasmus+ opportunities for youth
-
🤝 international cooperation & cultural exchange
Through sharing stories, photos, and real-life experiences, the project results reached a wider audience and helped motivate young people to dream bigger and become more active in their communities.

Evaluation Paragraphs
Nedas
This Erasmus+ youth exchange was my first experience in an international project, and it meant a lot to me. At the beginning, I was shy and unsure about what to expect, but very quickly I felt accepted by the group. Through the activities and discussions, I learned how serious environmental problems are, especially when it comes to sea pollution. Seeing the beach and talking about marine life made the topic very real for me. After the project, I started paying more attention to my own habits, such as using less plastic and thinking twice before throwing things away. I feel more confident now and more motivated to take care of the environment.
Gytis
Before joining this project, I did not think much about how my everyday actions affect the sea. During the exchange, I learned about pollution, waste, and how long plastic stays in the ocean. Working together with young people from different countries helped me understand that this is a shared problem and that everyone has responsibility. I really enjoyed the group work and creative activities because they made learning easier and more interesting. After returning home, I try to be more environmentally friendly and I also talk to my friends and family about what I learned during the project.
Henrikas
This youth exchange helped me grow as a person in many ways. I improved my communication skills and learned how to cooperate with people from different cultures. The activities helped me express my ideas and listen to others with respect. Learning about the environment and sea protection opened my eyes to how important nature is for our future. I now believe more strongly that young people can create change when they work together. This experience encouraged me to stay active and involved in environmental and social topics.
Žygimantas
One of the most important things for me during the project was the positive and safe atmosphere. I felt comfortable sharing my opinions and taking part in all activities. Learning about sea pollution made me realise how fragile marine ecosystems are and how important it is to protect them. The teamwork showed me that cooperation is key to solving problems. After the exchange, I feel more confident and inspired to support environmental actions and initiatives in my local community.
Liepa
The project was a good balance between learning, creativity, and fun. I liked that we did not only sit and listen, but also worked in groups, played games, and discussed real-life problems. This helped me understand environmental topics in a simple and memorable way. I also learned how important communication and teamwork are when working with others. After this experience, I feel more motivated to join other youth projects and to stay active in society.
Herkus
After finishing this Erasmus+ youth exchange, I feel very grateful for everything I experienced and learned. The project helped me understand environmental responsibility, especially related to the sea, but also taught me a lot about cultural diversity and respect. Meeting people from different countries showed me that we are different, but we share similar values and concerns. This project gave me new motivation, confidence, and inspiration, and I will try to use what I learned in my daily life and future activities.
